upon us (insert sobbing sounds here…), and we’d like to fill up the remaining
days of these months … soooo, we have some incredible
specials! These packages are for couples who want prints (framed or loose), or
maybe an elegant coffee table book. Digital images files are still available
with our latest packages for an additional cost.
This is not just for new
bookings only, so even if you are a current client, please scroll down the page

Don and
We're sure you've seen the photography inclusive packages offered by other wedding businesses in our area... you know the guys that give you the roll of film afterwards, or the flash card copied directly to a disk with minimal (or no) editing (compare the images on our website www.beachpeopleweddings.com and theirs). For us, getting those "once in your lifetime" images at your wedding is only part of our job.... it's the magic that you'll see in the final product that says it all!
So let us tell you about our photographers.
They are licensed as a
photographers in the state of NC. They are members of the Chambers
of Commerce in
They
have a style all their own, with romantic couple photography and also creative
fisheye images that are often dramatically composed, toned and colorfully
saturated... with a mix of high contrast B&W, edgy effects, or Old
Fashioned sepia as well! They don't just tell you to go "stand over there
and smile a lot"! They are very experienced in gently leading you, the
couple through a series of easy and romantic guided poses that will leave you
excited and relaxed... and feeling very special. They refer to their style as
Story Book Photography, with imagery that tells a story. Most “during ceremony”
coverage from other photographers will capture certain moments, usually from a
distance with a telephoto lens, but our team specializes in “getting right in
there” to follow every moment…. Even the ones that print photographers may not
bother with because it’s not a sellable print for them. We don’t care about sellable
prints. We care about recording this once in your lifetime event creatively and
artistically, with wide angle and standard focal length lenses.
So why is all that stuff good? It shows that they take their craft seriously, that they continue to be educated about the world of professional photography, that they have that passionate drive to improve and expand their work. They are skilled at dealing with the tricky lighting out on the beach, and adept at grabbing those all important shots during your ceremony. Your package will include moments and views (often very up-close!) during the ceremony that most other wedding photographers seldom get, (because wedding ministers tend to keep photographers way back from the ceremony… and as Don is the minister, and Kathy is his wife… well, you get the picture…literally!). The photography that happens afterward, (near or in the surf, on the beach, perhaps under a fishing pier, or in the dunes!) will be romantic, fun, relaxed, and always special.
The Beaches are not only accomplished wedding photographers, but also photo artists with a passion for creativity, as they strives to deliver very special and extraordinary imagery for ordinary people. Every bride is beautiful and special, and their talents show through in their work. As a wedding officiant, Don has performed well over 4000 weddings on beaches and gardens, and as a photographer with many years of experience, he offers a romantic, creative, and energetic style of relating to his clients that perfectly compliments Kat's skills at posing her couples in a fun and relaxed manner, always looking at new and innovative developments in the world of photography for your wedding images! Both Don and Kat are Reiki master-practitioners, certified reiki drummers, Remo trained Health Rhythms drummers, and Don is a member of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, a member of the Sound Healers Association, and just an all around great dude!
So what could be better than having the most laid back ole Harley Davidson riding, VW bus driving beach hippie/reiki master on the east coast as your wedding officiant? It would be having a couple of laid back VW bus driving beach hippie/reiki masters as your wedding photographers at the same time! Don and Kat Beach are both very passionate and experienced at all of those functions, and can provide a fun, relaxed, and affordable wedding with awesome photography on some of the best beaches anywhere.

below are for our local area (
Weekends and sunset times are reserved for clients wanting both officiant and photography, but last minute inquiries for officiant only services are welcome to ask about those times or dates… we might be able to accommodate you!
Our travel fees
are ... $100 for Wrightsville, Carolina, and Kure
Beaches, $50 for Holden Beach, $75 for Oak Island ... $200 for
For South Carolina
locations; $75 for Myrtle Beach State Park, Surfside and Garden City, $150 for Huntington
Beach State Park, Pawley's Island, and Litchfield Plantation. Please note that
our availability for some locations might be limited by summer traffic or
travel timing issues at our discretion.
We do not provide
rain backup locations…. That is the couple’s responsibility. (We can help with
ideas)
Total coverage
including ceremony and photography is about 40 minutes for the
Please make every effort to know your wedding location in advance, for you and your guests. Late arrivals can have an adverse affect on available lighting, and may have an impact on our other business obligations for that day. A late fee of $50 for every 20 minutes over your scheduled start time will be charged at our discretion.
All
of our photo packages include your edited images (only the very best images,
and chosen by us), and placed on a photo disk, with all images taken by our
highly skilled photographer, adjusted and ready for printing. We also upload
images from your photo session onto our online ordering website at http://beachpeople.zenfolio.com/
where you or your guests may view, share, and order prints, canvases, and a huge
variety of products if desired. Just to remind you, we do not permit our
clients to proof or choose the images included on their disk, as our pricing is
based on our workflow... but you may elect to upgrade to a bigger package after
you see your images if you'd like. Just let us know before we ship your disk,
as there is an added fee if we have to go back and resend another upgraded disk !

These images are hand retouched to remove blemishes and stray hairs, then treated to Kat Beach's vast treasure chest of special effects! They might be softened with dreamy effects, or converted to black and white with colorized elements, blurred backgrounds, special coloring, or dramatic black and white conversions!
