OK, so maybe you find yourself excited enough to take a chance and contact me! I'll let you in on a secret...most people who utilize us are very surprised and happy to have found such a relaxed and painless way to experience their wedding. I hear this all the time! They often look at my website for days or weeks before they work up the courage to realize that their wedding should be their own way. Fun is a sub-set of love! It's an inner delight at the process of living, and finding that one special someone to share your life with should make you want to toss your head back and shout out loud with joy!

Let Us Walk Together

 
Let us walk together yet not as one, but such that our shadows are separate and distinct, such that our souls are unbound and free. Let us share our time, yet do not give all your time, nor take all of mine for in order to develop to the fullest, to be free, we must have solitude and individuality.

Let me wander in solitude, when I need to be alone, yet be near, when I need you. Let us share our love. Give freely of your love, but do not smother me, my soul must breathe a free air. Take my love, but do not demand it, for love given of obligation, is stale and without life. Let us share our lives.

Share my life, but do not try to shape it. Let me share your life, but do not let it revolve around me. Let us share ourselves. Accept me as I am; do not attempt to change me to fit your dreams. Respect me for what I am, not for what I was or one day may be. Share yourself with me, but do not allow me to limit your freedom or bind your soul. Let us share our minds, thoughts, goals, values and dreams. Let us develop these within ourselves without restriction or loss of freedom

Thus our two free souls, may wander together as they develop in freedom. As we share our lives, as we walk through life together, know my love is yours, but not my soul for it must be free.

 

Gee, I didn't see anything there about anyone being "the head" of the household, or how one person exists to "fill the other person's cup". Nothing about obeying anyone either! Hmmm, what a novel idea: equality!

Here's that in mathematical terms (new math): Equality + Intimacy = A Real Marriage

(old math): Head of Household + Filler of Cup = Smiling Robot Marriage

Requirements to obtain a marriage license in North Carolina:

SOUTH CAROLINA MARRIAGE LICENSE INFORMATION

A marriage license obtained in South Carolina is valid for a marriage ceremony anywhere in the state. Blood tests are not necessary.

To obtain a marriage license in Horry County, couples may fill out applications at the Government & Justice Center, 1301 2nd Ave., Conway; phone (843) 915-5370; or in a satellite office in the Ralph Ellis Building, 107 Hwy. 57 N., Little River; phone (843) 399-5533.

Couples also have the option of calling (843) 915-5370 to request that a form be mailed to them. Applications must be on file at least 24 hours before a license can be issued. Those under age 18 must have a certified copy of their birth certificate and a notarized statement of consent from a parent or legal guardian. Individuals over age 18 may use a driver's license, voter registration card, birth certificate, or passport to verify age (a Social Security card or Alien ID card also may be required). The fee is $100. For more information, call (843) 915-5370.

To obtain a marriage license in Georgetown County, the couple must apply in person at the Georgetown County Courthouse, 715 Prince St. Individuals 24 or younger must provide a photo ID (such as a driver's license) and Social Security number. Individuals younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Couples must wait at least 24 hours to obtain a license. The fee is $35. For more information, call (843) 545-3079.
