Other fun options... As you may have surmised by now, we Beachpeople are always in hot pursuit of your "inner child", in order to have that part of each of you marry each other. We admit that some of our offerings are not for everyone, but if you are genuine 2%'ers who can't resist having some fun, we have some ideas for you! Centering Moment with Guided Imagery . This is a tool I use to help couples relax and let go of tension and stress before the ceremony gets under way! Dr. Seuss "Green Eggs 'n Ham". Yep, I offer a ceremony that is fun and rhyming, Seussian style, and we can even dress like the Cat in the Hat! As with all of our ceremonies, no memorizing is even contemplated...we will read this one together! I have a "Gifts of the Sea" ceremony in which both of you present shell necklaces to each other as I read what they represent.. Patience, Forgiveness, Mystery, Playfulness, Eternalness, and Love. And you get to keep the necklaces! King Neptune Ceremony. The conch shell blows, calling all to good order... unsightly scratching not withstanding....and we then begin a riotously fun experience evoking the language and lore reminiscent of the "Crossing the Equator" ceremony performed at sea. We can wear eye patches and parrots on our shoulders, (and I really do have a "clip on" parrot for my shoulder!), or just go beachie casual, and there is a large and colorful certificate that is yours to keep! And speaking of things to wear on my shoulder!
Officiant to wear a fake parrot on his shoulder OR Officiant to wear a fake "12 chicken on his shoulder OR Officiant to wear a fake "12 eagle on his shoulder So why do we offer this sort of thing? Don't we take marriage seriously? Are we weirdo's? Perhaps one might think this is the case, but we have a higher purpose, and that is to release your nervously hiding "inner child" part of yourselves so you can have a "human doing" experience instead of the standard "human being" one. It's what I live for! And yes, last year I offered to do this for free (I like fake parrots...), but my fake parrot died on me and I was forced to buy more expensive versions.. thus the fee. While I was there, the chicken and the eagle kinda jumped out at me.... (so don't adjust your web browser... there is nothing wrong with you!) It might be just the thing to distract a nervous groom or a nervous child at you wedding ceremony! Creative Marriage announcements What better way to announce your marriage to that flock of pelicans overhead than to ring my authentic Captain's Bell! You can even purchase the very bell that announces you and take it home to have it engraved. You can ring in your anniversary every year, or use it to "get out of jail" when you step in marital doo-doo! This is also an old Irish tradition to ring a bell to ward off "evil spirits"! Blowing of the Conch Shell
I can blow on a conch shell after I announce you both as a new married couple, and what could be more beachie than that! Sounding of the Gong Yep, we have a big ole 22" gong, and we
can bash that thing to begin and to end your ceremony, and to announce this new
entity of "MR. and MRS. You2" that will even get the attention of King Neptune!
Thunder Tube Marriage Announcement If you have never heard one- you are in for a treat. This simple tube shaped instrument (7"x16") has a wire spring dangling from a synthetic Fiberskyn head. Rolling and shaking it makes a variety of special effects sounds: rumbling thunder, a thunder clap, or maybe that was laser fire from Captain Kirk! It was designed for Remo Drums by Indian jazz drummer, Trilok Gurtu, and all you drummers out there will love being announced to the world as a newly married couple with the sound of thunder! (And non-drummers will love it too!)
