Last Minute Weddings
OK, so you've decided to get
married at the last minute, or you find your self in need of someone to perform
your ceremony "in a pinch". I can help you!
Being the hopeless romantic love monkey that I am, I just love the spontaneity
of just running off and getting married!
But in order to make this work out
for all of us, here is my experience with
problems I've encountered with this situation. I've had
endless problems (please read that link) with
couples who either don't show up, or end up canceling on the day of the ceremony
(and often don't think they need to inform me of this development!
Grrr
).
In order to be able to perform your ceremony "at the last minute", here is how we need to do this...
1.) Obviously I'll need to be available, so call (not e-mail) me at 910-575-8171office or 910-279-4555 cell, and we can ensure that there is availability.
2.) If your ceremony date will be happening before a deposit can be received by regular mail, I will need my reservation form and payment in full overnighted to me or made through paypal (use my email address as the payee)! This will ensure that even if you change your minds, I will not be inconvenienced to waste my time prepping for a wedding that I have committed my time for. (And sometimes loosing out on other business we could've reserved..)
3.) I will need at least 2 good phone numbers to reach you at, and confirmation from you on the morning of the day of your ceremony that you are indeed going through with our date together. If I don't hear from you, I won't be there, even if you've paid me already!
I'm sorry to be a "son of a beach"
about this, 
but I can't tell you how many
times this old softie wedding officiant has been stressed out over last minute
couples who leave me twisting in the wind!
While I'm a very easy going old
beach dude, 
and want nothing more than to see
you have an awesome wedding ceremony.... I just don't need all the stress over
missing couples on the day of their ceremony!
So hopefully I haven't scared you
off too much and that you will consider our officiant and perhaps our
photography services for your wedding plans. We really are nice people! (I can't
even remember the last time I bit somebody!)
