Officiant agreement terms and conditions

I hereby agree that I have reserved Beachpeople Weddings to officiate and/or photograph my wedding/special event. I understand and agree that I will abide by the following terms and conditions. Should my event be canceled by the couple for any reason, I understand that no refund will be given.

(We do offer to apply your deposit to a new date within one year of your cancelled wedding date. )

I understand that a deposit is due at time of booking, with the remaining balance due before the ceremony begins. If the event is booked within 10 days of the event, the full amount is required to reserve your officiant services. Should my event be canceled, I understand that no refund will be given. I agree that a late fee of $100 is owed if my ceremony begins 30 minutes or more past the scheduled starting time. We are not responsible for CD's provided for us to play on our CD player, if we are contracted with to provide music.

My agreement with you!

Beachpeople Weddings agrees to arrive 15- 30 minutes prior to the start time for the wedding ceremony, and requests the ceremony begin on time, (or within wedding day “reasonableness”!) In the event of a cancellation of the wedding on the couple’s part, the deposit is not refundable. In the event of inability by me to perform the ceremony due to illness, the couple will be notified as soon as practical and I will try to provide contact information for another officiant. Another local officiant will be contacted by me and your deposit will be refunded or transferred. In the event of unforeseen weather issues, every attempt will be made by me to reschedule the date and time, and the deposit applied towards that new date. Bad weather back up plans are the couple's responsibility, and is not grounds for a deposit refund.

Please pay your balance owed before the ceremony begins, as well as the presentation of a valid marriage license. I prefer not have to chase anyone down after the ceremony to settle these issues. Please don't forget to bring your license. I can't perform your ceremony without a valid marriage license!

I make sure to schedule plenty of time between ceremonies, (should I have more than your ceremony to perform on your date). If your lateness is threatening any other scheduled events, I will be forced to leave and will still require full payment for your ceremony, whether I perform it or not. The other couple fully expects me to be on time, and there is no reason that couples cannot plan accordingly to ensure that their ceremony begins at the time agreed upon. I will hold filing your marriage license until all outstanding fees are settled.

I hate to be mean sounding over this issue, but several recent unfortunate experiences have taught us some hard lessons! My time is worth something to me and being “fashionably late” gets to be tiresome, causes unneeded stress, and isn’t fair to others who expect me to be there for them, including my own family. (And after only being late once for nearly 4000 weddings, surely you can manage to be reasonably on time as well!) Please read our late start policy.

If you have previously reserved us and need to make a change with date, location, your time, or any other detail, this will require a new signed reservation form to be mailed to us. Doing this by phone or e-mail will not be sufficient, and we are not responsible for miscommunications over these important issues.

Photography agreement, terms and conditions

I hereby agree that I have reserved Beachpeople Weddings to take pictures at my wedding/special event. I understand that for certain specified photo packages, pictures taken will be presented for online ordering, with no adjustments, modifications or touch ups will be made to my pictures as part of my package beyond color, contrast, and white balance adjustments unless otherwise arranged or specified. I further understand that I (Client) am granted printing rights for the pictures and images I receive, and can duplicate, print and publish without interruption from our Photographer, as long as the images are for personal (non commercial) use only. The Photographer reserves the right to publish, print or otherwise use any of my photos at the photographer’s discretion. Photographers make no agreements to archive or to retain copies of images, and the client is responsible for backing up and preserving their images.

I understand that I have specified above what package I have ordered and agree that should my ceremony start 30 minutes or more later than the scheduled time, I will be charged a late fee of $100.00. If my tardiness conflicts with other scheduled appointments, the photographer may be forced to leave, and we will be owed our full fee. We cannot guarantee the amount of images provided if the ceremony begins later than scheduled, or if bad weather forces a change in location.

Unless specifically agreed upon in writing by customer and photographer prior to event, the customer releases the photographer of any liability during the photo shoot, or of specific pictures taken, and of their subsequent usage as stated.

Should my event be canceled by me (Client), I understand that no refund will be given. If the event is booked within 10 days of the event, the full amount is required to book photography services.
