Tomorrow will mark our 1st month of marriage and we wanted you to know that we cannot thank either of you enough for making our Sunset Beach wedding spectacular, relaxing, and filled with the perfect touch of lightheartedness and sincerity. We could not have asked for a better location or a more beautifully-perfect day! Just wanted to take a minute to thank you guys for an amazing wedding and great pics. Everything turned out better then we could of imagined. Toms mom still cries when she thinks about that morning and today my parents finally got to see the website and they called crying, amazing job!!!
All the stressing over finding a beach house that would accept a dog and something close to the beach so we could just walk out the door, it all worked out great. I was so nervous that morning until I walked out the door, at that moment all fears just subsided and it was a great ceremony. Thank you again you will come very highly recommended!!! Toms mom has someone at work interested so were definitely passing your name along we cannot say enough about the great pics, your laid back nature and how great the ceremony was.

Spyros and I wanted to drop you a short note to let you know how
wonderful everything was Saturday and how grateful we are for the
beautiful service you made for us. One of our guests said it was the
best wedding she's been to, and my dear friend said she's never felt more
relaxed at a wedding ceremony. We had perfect weather, beautiful seas
and great people to share this special day with.

What impressed people most were the questions you asked in the ceremony
we chose. What touched us most was being able to share those feelings
and emotions in the "unplugged" ceremony because while we reminisce at
home, and look through photo albums, or share a chuckle now and then,
most times as you know you never verbalize those deep feelings. Spyros
and I really appreciated that and we'd recommend you to anyone

Dear Reverend Beach –

Thank you so much for performing the perfect ceremony for our perfect wedding day.  It was like a fairy tale come true for us and we would not do one thing different. 

We loved the words we said to each other and you made us feel so comfortable.  The whole ceremony was so unique and so special.  We could not have been more pleased and we just feel so blessed to have found one another and to have had the courage to do our wedding our way with all the right people there. 

If you ever write a book, we will be the first to buy it.  We love a great love story.  We think we have a pretty great love story ourselves.  We met on Match.com after Brian came home from Iraq the first time and his wife immediately asked for a divorce and I was just moving past the grief of losing my fiancé Daniel in Iraq.  We met and instantly knew we would fall in love.  I soon found out Brian had a 4 year old son named Daniel and somehow it seemed like a good sign.  Brian recently returned from a second tour in Iraq of over a year.  It wasn’t easy for either of us, but we made it through and couldn’t wait any longer to start a new chapter in our lives as husband and wife.  Thanks again for making that happen for us…..our way.   

We hope to always come back to Sunset Beach with kids and someday grandkids and show them where our life as husband and wife began.  When it comes time to renew our vows, we will come looking for you.  Until then, we will always remember the words we said to each other while in your presence and remember your advice to us.  Everything was so perfect on our wedding day.  We are so blessed.

Don and Kathy --

As you might imagine, I've written out a ton of thank you cards in the last few weeks. You're the last, and I have been dragging my feet, searching so hard to find the words to show our appreciation for giving us the day of a lifetime and the documentation in photos so that we can relive it, minute by minute.

I knew, a little over a year ago, before we were engaged, that Quaye and I were going to get married this summer and that we would only have our wedding on the beach, where our hearts are the most fulfilled. It was about that time that I found your website and became truly excited about getting married, regardless of the fact that prior to last year, I wasn't really all that interested in marriage, knowing that our love and committment was already strong enough and didn't necessarily need the legal paperwork to make it "official." But after seeing your site, feeling your energy and love for each other, for love itself and the ocean, I then realized that I could have the ceremony that I wanted, that would mean something to me, that would truly bond us together in unity more than ever before. I was hooked. A few months back when my begging you to come down to Huntington was a fruitful endeavor (hee hee), I was ECSTATIC. I knew that this would be the most special day of my life thus far -- and I was right. It was, and between Quaye, you and Kathy, the most amazing, powerful, emotional, intense adrenaline rush I've ever had. I keep saying how much I want to do it again!! The beautiful words that you wrote seemed to be written just for us -- and the vows that we made to each other were much more strong and powerful than any church sermon. I have always felt closer to God while on the ocean more than any other place. The beach is our church and you and your words were from His heart.

And the pictures...oh my, the pictures...WOW. Going through them and choosing which ones to print for our photo album was so difficult -- I had 146 of the 470 photos printed because I simply could not narrow them down any further. The best part is, I've put them in order and every moment is captured so that we can go through and relive the emotions and the power that we experienced, frame by frame. I've never seen a photographer shoot like you two can. The story you told was as beautiful as the day that it all happened. We got to see things we didn't get to see that day and each new thing that we encounter as we look at the photos (over and over again) is like a brand new experience to smile about. The artistic photos were beautiful as well. We especially love the ones where we are softened all around. We'll be getting a framed 8x10 of the artistic one where the flowers are in color and we're softened and in black and white. So dramatic, so beautiful, so perfect, so us.

We will never be able to thank you enough for giving us our perfect day -- tropical storm and all. My dad made a beautiful toast later in the evening about weathering through storms...we've been together for 6 years and know that storms come and go...but the sun always fights its way through the clouds to make for a beautiful sunset. How suiting for all of us to have had the wonderful experience of attending a beach wedding during a tropical storm. Thank you for hanging out in the rain, sharing your beloved artistic and poetic gifts and celebrating our most cherished day with us. We will hold you near and dear to our hearts always.

Received the disc. Just wanted to thank you for all you did to make our day so special! The ceremony was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! Truly one of the most special moments of my life. Our honeymoon went great but went fast...Long drive home, but we had 2 very excited dogs

I took a quick look at the photos on the internet the other day. They are absolutely wonderful. (The groom is especially wonderful!) Today I received the CD and our marriage certificate also came!

Hello!!  I was just sitting here doing Christmas cards, thinking of all the things I have to be thankful for--four beautiful, healthy children, a wonderful husband, a beautiful house--and thought of you.  If you don't remember us, we're the ones you married at sunset on Carolina Beach on August 18.  (You should remember us--you kept our parking pass!) I'm attaching a few of the better pictures.  I really just wanted to thank you for a beautiful wedding.  If we had been inside a beautiful church in formal gown and tuxes with all the people who love us there, we would have missed the simpler things--our happiness would have been overshadowed by our nervousness.  Now when I think of our wedding, I think of the waves, the seagulls, the pelicans, all the natural beauty seems to signify the love Jay and I feel for one another.

     Well, I'll close for now.  You might find a note from me from time to time.  When you officiated our wedding, you became part of our family in a special way.  I hope you and your family are having a wonderful and safe holiday season and you have a fantastic new year!

Hello Donald,

I just wanted to thank you so much for marrying me and my high school sweetheart at North Myrtle Beach on November 24, 2007.  Our wedding day was so down to earth (which I loved)….making it FAR from being stressful on my special day!!!  I hated that the cold front came though that morning but I didn’t let that get me down at all, because I had my man by my side! 

 

I like that fact that you were laid back and I also loved our wedding vows and I really liked the heart-shape keepsake with the sand that we stood on during the ceremony.  All of this will be remembered as we make our journey in our new life together!

Thank you so much for helping make our wedding special.  I don't think we could have picked anyone more special than the two of you to share our day with. We were both a little nervous that day (as you could probably tell), but having you two there made us feel so much more relaxed...it was like having family there.
We can not thank you enough for sharing the day with us, everything was perfect.  Including Sunset Beach...it was absolutely beautiful!! The few pictures we have seen so far are wonderful!! We appreciate you both taking your time and trying to get the perfect shots.
So many times you see wedding photographers taking the same standard poses and photos; it was nice to have something different.

Dear Rev & Mrs. Beach, Mark and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary yesterday, and we want to thank you again for the part you had in our wonderful wedding day. We are still honeymooning, and could not be happier!

Don, We just wanted to let you know that our wedding was absolutely beautiful!  Your setup with the flowers, waves crashing in the background and surrounded by our loved ones. What more could we have asked for?  It was perfect.  Surreal. 

Troy told me that while the two of you were standing there waiting, you had made the comment that like the ocean we should go with the flow (something along those lines).  Well, we were supposed to have left at 1pm on Sunday.  We decided to make another day of exploring the area shops and did some sightseeing and he mentioned what you had said again.  Maybe that will be our motto.  Just go with it!

Hi Rev Beach!
Daniel and I wanted to write you to say how happy we were with the ceremony
that you performed and to tell you thank you. Your style was exactly what we
were looking for! I can't tell you how many times our family members
commented about your wit and how impressed they were with you. As simple as
we felt the wedding was, we heard numerous times "besides my wedding, this
was the most beautiful wedding we have ever seen". And also, "where did you
find this guy, he was awesome!"
I have read our vows over and over, and each time I do, a tear comes to my
eyes. The vows we said to one another couldn't have fit us better,
especially when we vowed to be patient with one another and ourselves.
Sometimes Daniel is a little too "laid back", where I am fast paced and
"slightly" impatient. I must say, when I am feeling impatient, I remember
our vows that we made to one another and how much we love each other. Then I
take a deep breath and relax a bit.

Donald, again, we would like to tell you and your beautiful wife thank you
for giving us such a wonderful day. I couldn't have asked for anyone better
and you will get many recommendations from us.

Hey!

Just checking in with you and wanted to give you an update.

Well, it'll be 3 months this Friday since we had that beautiful ceremony on gorgeous Sunset Beach. (Friday the 13th again! Lol)

Matt and I are happy and healthy. He and I and his daughters have melded together into a wonderful family.
We read through our vows every so often which is really a great idea for everyone to do. You always want to remember the feeling of excitement and nervousness and all out love that you feel when standing there looking into each others eyes and pledging your love to each other.

I can't thank you enough for making our special day so perfect!

I don't know if you would remember my husband and me, Rob Porter and Kristina Taylor - Porter, we got married last year March 18th 2006. We just celebrated our one year anniversary and we will be celebrating the birth of our first child in, God willing, 2 months (I'm on bed rest to assist in bring a healthy baby into this world) Levi Jobe Porter.
I wanted to just thank you so much for how well you handled our wedding, my husband and I always say it's the best wedding we have ever been to and no wedding we have gone to has measured up to it.

I remember the ceremony so well and it's funny that Rob remembers parts from the wedding and reminds me all the time by saying "its like the Rev. said at the wedding ..." when I know my husband was paying attention and can recite something that you said I know that the
wedding meant a lot to him. I don't know how many grooms don't remember what was said during their wedding but rather the complain of the drowning on and on of the minister, so it means a lot to me to know that you did such a great job showing that you cared to make our
wedding such a memorable experience. I have to say that our marriage was built on a great ceremony (foundation) for our family to continue growing.

I was so happy with the whole day and the pictures, and wedding video came out beautifully. I could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you Thank you!!!

We recently received our proofs from the photographer...My jaw still hits
the floor when I see how Barbara looked in that wedding dress.  The Grande
Dunes Ocean Club is actually using our photographs on their websites and
brochures (more because of her beauty then mine, I would assume).

You really got us off to an amazing start.  We kid each other all the time
with your parting words to us before you left that night..."It is good to be
good, but it is also good to be bad."

Gary & I are back in Ohio now (darn it!)...wishing we were still in North Carolina!  We spent the rest of our trip trying to figure out a way to relocate to your area as soon as possible (need to get one last teenager through high school!)...

Thanks SO MUCH for everything you and Katherine did to make our wedding ceremony so special last Wednesday.  We thought everything turned out WONDERFULLY and we wouldn't have changed a thing!

We look forward to visiting NC again (and again and again and again) and look forward to keeping in touch with our new NC friends (you & Katherine).  If you're EVER going to be close to our area (why you would leave NC is beyond me!?!?!?)
